Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant – Band 3 Location: NELFT – Grays Court Community Hospital Area: North East London NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Stroke Neurology. To cover vacancy. Working under supervision of qualified therapists to assist in carrying out rehabilitation programmes and interventions. Will include joint sessions with therapists and patients, other rehab assistants and carrying out sessions independently as well as running exercise groups jointly with another rehab assistants. Therapy sessions will include exercise programmes and activities to improve movement, cognition, speech and swallowing. Work will predominantly be working to support the OT within the team. A good general education/NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy. Previous experience of working within a care setting or as a Rehab therapy Assistant.
