Contact Cares is a service which aims to simplify the way health and social care services are accessed from nursing assessment to social care; reablement to audiology, safeguarding to occupational therapy (medicines management). The Occupational Therapy Team are committed to supporting and assisting people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and be as independent as possible in their home environment.
Candidates should have an interest in developing their skills working with adults with disabilities who have complex needs and will be responsible for the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations to promote independence. They should have a good understanding of complex physical disabilities and experience in the provision of equipment and major adaptations. Knowledge of up to date moving and handling techniques and good IT skills would be an advantage.
An agile policy is in place enabling staff to work from home.
The post holder will be an experienced HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, confidently able to work on their own initiative, juggle a busy workload and build strong working relationships. They will have excellent communication skills and will be able to demonstrate credibility with professionals from partner agencies.
They should have the ability to assess needs, prepare care plans and can implement accordingly with a working knowledge of current legislation.
