To assess, diagnose, plan and develop specialised physiotherapy treatment programmes for clients with a wide variety of physical/mental health needs in an intermediate care bedded unit setting.
To participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of Intermediate Care services within a designated area/unit, holding responsibility for defined projects.
To be an active member of the inter-disciplinary intermediate care team in the provision of client centred care.
To supervise/train inexperienced physiotherapists/assistants/students working within the service.
To develop and provide clinical expertise in a designated specialism and participate in the dissemination of evidence-based practice across the service.
