Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6 or 7 Area: Surrey NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Community Neuro Therapy Services. Band 6 or 7 (but maybe on less hours) Seeing patients with a Sutton GP, both in their own home, care homes & in the community as required.
Assessment & treatment / intervention of adult patients with Neurological conditions, acquired communication & swallow difficulties in the community setting. Candidates will need:
Essential:
• The candidate must have good experience working with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis & progressive conditions.
• The candidate must have experience in the management of dysphagia & be dysphagia trained.
• The candidate will need experience in rehabilitation and the management of long-term conditions.
• Community experience · Experience working with adults & older adults • MDT working · Ability to complete community visit around the borough of Sutton, South West London
Desirable:
– EMIS trained & have an NHS SMART card
– Car driver & car that can use for this post Working hours: 35 hours per week. 5 days per week. Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. 7 hours a day with 30 min unpaid lunch. Typically, 08.30 – 16.00 Code: U.002001.B14020
