Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6 Area: Essex NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: To cover vacancy. Face to face Children’s Speech and Language Therapist required with experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs in their educational settings. • Children’s Speech and Language Therapists will work with early years and school aged children, in their educational settings, as part of the Therapies team in West Essex. • The therapies team support the therapy needs of children with and without Education and Health Care Plans, as a result of their complex needs/speech, language and communication difficulties. • Therapists will work with educational professionals (SENCOs, LSAs and teachers) in setting goals and providing therapy plans, to integrate within their daily curriculum, as specified in the child’s EHCP. This will include attending Annual Review meetings, updating reports, liaising with parents/carers and providing training, as appropriate. • Core service to be provided during school hours with flexible hours possible.
