Job Title: Community Occupational Therapist Area: Tyne and Wear Social Services Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: To cover vacancy. To carry a caseload of customers and complete assessments of customers’ needs which may include, but not limited to, functional assessments; assessment and provision of assistive equipment; adaptations and provision of rehabilitation. To provide holistic assessments of the customer identifying areas of need and ensuring that appropriate provision is made to improve quality of life, working to set standards within the service under the supervision of the Senior Practitioner/Team Manager. To advise customers of the correct use of equipment provided by the Local Authority. Demonstrate the ability to conduct an appropriate assessment to the customer which includes appropriate moving & handling assessments.
