Job details:  A unique opportunity has arisen to join a small team who are committed and passionate about improving the lives of children/young people with disabilities, complex health needs or chronic illness.
Working in the community the post holder will be responsible for assessing the needs of children/young people and recommending appropriate interventions, including specialist equipment and major adaptations and demonstrating to families and carers alternative ways of carrying out daily living tasks, to promote and maintain children/young people’s independence.
The post holder will need to have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, sound assessment and problem-solving ability, with good computer skills. They will work independently, be a good team player and have proven organisational skills. Experience of working with children and assessing for equipment and major adaptations is essential. Working hours: Full time. 36 hours per week.
