To provide a community Occupational Therapy service for older people and people with physical disabilities.
To functionally assess people with physical disabilities, identifying and monitoring their needs.
To recommend rehabilitative solutions, in order to facilitate independence, and/or improve quality of life, in accordance with Departmental policies and current legislation.
To develop a comprehensive and effective service by continuously evaluating service provision on a professional and administrative level and recommend and implement improvements.
To teach, liaise, and provide advice about rehabilitative principles and techniques to the management of a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies, in order to improve services for people with physical disabilities.
