To assess occupational and vocational needs and provide occupational therapy interventions on an individual and / or group basis to service users with complex mental health needs in the inpatient wards.
To supervise junior staff/support staff/ OT assistants to deliver interventions enabling service users to develop independent living skills and work towards individual rehabilitation and recovery goals.
To develop links community teams including statutory and voluntary sector community resources and ensure that ongoing occupational needs are addressed as part of a safe effective discharge and transition process.
