This post is an assistant practitioner post to support the work of the interdisciplinary Rapid Access to Rehabilitation Service. As part of the role, the post holder will be carrying out a range of physical, cognitive, psychological and communication interventions as directed by the multi-therapy team including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and clinical psychology.
The post holder will also support the team in administrative functions to ensure the smooth working of the team.
Rehabilitation Assistants do not hold a professional qualification and work only under the direction of qualified therapists and require a period of induction and training, approximately three months, to achieve required competency to perform all tasks.
