Job details:  To provide a high standard of speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) outpatients presenting with voice disorders, head and neck cancer and/or swallowing difficulties across hospital sites.
To contribute to the education and development of less experienced speech and language therapists, assistants and student speech and language therapists within the area of clinical specialism.
To contribute to the development and evaluation of the Speech and Language Therapy service within the area of chosen developing specialism.
To work as an autonomous practitioner providing specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to patients presenting with diverse and complex voice, head and neck, and/or swallowing difficulties, who may have co-existing complex physical and psychological conditions.
Provide clinical advice, in the area of developing specialism, for other speech and language therapists and professionals from other disciplines.
To collaborate closely with ENT colleagues to facilitate decision-making, development and delivery of specialised individual treatment programmes.
Working hours: 08.00 – 16.00.

• 20 bedded female treatment ward
• Providing OT assessments, discharge planning recommendations, and short-term OT interventions
• Providing professional supervision and support for the Activity Staff on the ward
• Must be able to provide a variety of evidence based mental health occupational therapy assessments, contribute to MDT formulation of need and risk management; and directly and indirectly provide occupational interventions
• OT experience in acute mental health care setting - essential
• Experience in mental health, learning disabilities, and substance misuse – advantageous
• Driver with own transport - essential
