Job details: Part Time Community OT required to join a small team who are committed and passionate about improving the lives of children/young people with disabilities, complex health needs or chronic illness. Working in the community the post holder will be responsible for assessing the needs of children/young people and recommending appropriate interventions, including specialist equipment and major adaptations, and demonstrating to families and carers alternative ways of carrying out daily living tasks, to promote and maintain children/young people’s independence. The post holder will be part of a supportive team that includes Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Intervention Workers, Behaviour Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Complex Needs Nurses, Physiotherapists, Health Occupational Therapists and Housing Services. JD available on request. Working hours: 18 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
