Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist for a locum opportunity within North London Social Services. This role is based with Enfield Council and sits within the Adults and Older People’s Review Team, supporting service users through annual reviews and reassessments to ensure care packages remain appropriate, effective, and outcome-focused.
The successful candidate will work with adults and older people with a range of physical, functional, and care needs, carrying out strengths-based reviews, evaluating existing support arrangements, and recommending changes to promote independence, wellbeing, and best value care provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake annual reviews and reassessments for adults and older people receiving support services.
- Evaluate current care packages and recommend amendments where appropriate.
- Carry out holistic, strengths-based occupational therapy assessments.
- Identify opportunities to maximise independence and reduce reliance on long-term support where appropriate.
- Provide recommendations regarding equipment, adaptations, moving and handling, and care provision.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.
- Contribute to person-centred care planning and review processes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records.
- Ensure practice remains compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards.
About You
You will be an experienced HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a strong background in
adult social care. You will have experience undertaking reviews, reassessments, and complex casework involving adults and older people.
You will demonstrate excellent assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills, alongside the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Experience working within Adult Social Care services.
- Experience undertaking reviews and reassessments of care and support needs.
- Knowledge of strengths-based practice and person-centred approaches.
- Understanding of relevant legislation including the Care Act.
- Strong report-writing, organisational, and case management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations.
